December Christmas Degustabox

I have been really excited to receive this months Degustabox purely because it is the last one of the year which means 1. Christmas is just around the corner and 2. This box will be full of festive bits! However, this isn't full of lots of festive bits but there are definitely pieces in here to be savored for Christmas parties or even Christmas presents to people! I think Santa Claus came early this year with this box!
Bahlsen Chocolate Biscuits £1.79/unit
The first item I pull out of the box were these chocolate biscuits in milk and caramel flavours. These are more than just a chocolate biscuit they are fresh and crisp when you take the first bite but also taste very chocolatey! Definitely a treat to pair with your cups of teas in the evening. I have tried this brand out before and they are definitely a more fancier biscuit than compared with a classic custard cream, so I will be keeping these for when I am feeling a bit adventurous with my tea dunkers.
Pukka Herbs £2.39
I find this again quite creepy because whenever I run out of things or fancy something Degustabox somehow always saves the day. (Convinced they are secretly mind readers!). Anyways green tea is something I drink on a daily basis and recently I've ran out and switched to another herbal tea. So when I saw this box I was straight away putting the kettle on and making a hot drink. Tastes great not my favourite but definitely nice with some lemon!
The Chia Co £1.70
I was very happy to receive these in my box because I have tried chia shots before and really liked them. These 'just add water' oats deliver a smooth and creamy texture, without dairy. Chia seeds offer the highest combined plant source of omega-3, fibre and protein and mixed with vitamins, minerals and antioxidants. A lot of good stuff basically. I can vouch for the shots and say the texture is a little weird but you don't taste anything. I mixed mine in porridge, soup or sprinkled on some of my dinners. Happy to receive some again.
Gloworm £1.50 per 1 or £6.00
I love receiving these cute little cans of drink every other month as they are always handy to put in your bags. But as you's all know by now I am a fussy pants when it comes to drinks and I tend to stick to what I know. But with that been said these really struck me with the quirky, unusual flavours: cucumber and apple, ginger and lemongrass, raspberry and orris, pear spice and and lime for rum. I might try these because I am intrigued especially with them being sugar free too.
Kent's Kitchen 1 x £2.50
Nobody in my household really eats Indian food so I don't know how much use I will get from these but I will think of something as food going to waste is no option! I do think these are incredibly useful little kits that probably save you some money. They seem pretty simple to use as you just follow the three steps and add a few fresh ingredients to create a restaurant quality meal. My brother is training to be a chef and likes Indians I would imagine he would whip something up with these.

Bonne Maman £2.30
I tried marmalade years ago and really didn't like it. But times moved on since then and I  really want to try this again. This is coarse orange marmalade that is fresh, zingy and made with thick shred of orange peels for more character. Oranges taste great in winter and are definitely a more Christmas associated fruit so I can see what they did there. I will definitely give this a try on some toast and see if I like it!
Eisburg 1 x £3.49
I love wine so when I saw this I thought what a lovely site to see as it is getting close to Christmas. However when I read the label and realized it was alcohol free I loved it even more. Some people in my family don't drink wine so this would be useful to have with me when going to visit families. I also think this is a great idea to give someone who is maybe going dry in January with alcohol. Really curious about this taste so can't wait to try it out!
Popchips 1 x £1.79
Popchips are great if you like trying crisps with different textures. I have tried these before but just the original flavour and found they tasted a lot nicer than what Walker's crisps would taste like for example. These struck me because I hate bbq but I have tried one and surprisingly I liked them. I think it's because the taste is not overly strong which might have a lot to do with the fact they are not fried or baked. These are definitely a great guilt free alternative to a packet of Walkers because they have half the calories and no fake colours. Really recommend you try these if you are a crisp lover!
Frylight Infuse Garlic £2.00
When cooking foods in the pan a lot of the time we use sprays from this brand so this was really nice to see. I think spritzing a bit of this if I am cooking some chicken for fajitas or even on its own will definitely give it a bit of a kick. I definitely prefer the sprays of these rather than oils just a lot less faff and quicker to do.

Overall I am really really pleased with everything I got in the last box of the year! I think there is definitely plenty of flavours to play around with and lots of kitchen experiments too. Some of these treats will be great to have at Christmas parties for people to try as well. I would really recommend you try one of these boxes that are worth £12.99 a month as who doesn't love the element of surprise especially with food?! It is like Christmas every month. You always come across some amazing brands and try some yummy recipes too!

You can find Degustabox here, on Twitter or Facebook for more information and to see what they have sent out in previous boxes as well. They have kindly given me a discount code of £3.00 off when registering for all of you lovely readers so here is a little Christmas gift from me to you! Just type in: OIW12
*PR Sample/gift.

Is your mouth drooling over all of these amazing foods??
