February Degustabox

February Degustabox
After last month's deliciously healthy, kick-start of the year treats I was really excited to see what I received in my February Degustabox and let me just say holy moly I have died and gone to comfort food heaven. To me this month's box can only be described as a girls (maybe boys!) best friend, it is just full of bits n pieces that'll sharp cheer up your mood in no time or get you nice and relaxed for the evening. This month's box just might be the best one yet...
Lily O'Brien's Cocoa Cookie Crunch £2.60
These are known as Ireland's best-loved luxury snacks for chocolate lovers like myself minus the Ireland. These are cocoa cookie crunchy chocolate biscuit pieces smothered in smooth, creamy milk chocolate [drooling]. These personally aren't the best chocolate crunch biscuits I have ever tried - I found them a little hard to bite into and the chocolate tasted a bit bland. But, they do make nice comforting snack to compliment a cup of tea or to have at a party.
Melba Thins Crisp Toast £1.39
Melba Thins are for those night owls and early birds, these crisp toast/crackers are perfect for all occasions. You can top them with cheese, salads, cocktails, jam anything for all times of the day! These are great value for money as you get so many within one pack and I find they taste really filling too which helps to avoid eating more throughout the day. These have a bit of an unusual taste and texture to them compared to your standard crackers but they are just as nice.
Laimon Fresh £1.99
As I have said in numerous Degustabox posts fizzy drinks or even soft drinks never really appeal to me. I am pretty boring when it comes to drinks (water and herbal teas) but, I am always willing to try drinks that look appealing and healthy. This drink is that. A refreshing sparkling lemon, lime and mint flavoured soft drink using only 100% natural ingredients. This drink sounds lovely and refreshing I think it would be a perfect drink on a hot summer's day or after a sweaty workout. If you are feeling daring you could even create a bit of a cocktail by adding some white rum!
Schwartz Flavour Shots 2 x £1.40
I live with a trainee-chef therefore when ingredients like this get sent in my box they always get put to some good use. These shots are delicious recipe bases containing a unique blend of herbs, spices and seasonings infused in sunflower oil to help create tasty meals. These shots are super easy to use you just spoon in the shot into your pan, add your chose ingredients and you're done!
Peanut Hottie £3.00
I try to avoid putting two food products in one photo but for this occasion I couldn't resist. Peanut butter fans listen up some genius person has provided us with peanut butter flavoured hot chocolate I repeat peanut butter hot chocolate. Now at first this made my face twist as I am not a massive fan of peanut butter I tend to occasionally dip it into apples or carrot sticks as a healthy snack (don't mock till you've tried). Other then that I don't tend to eat it but this really intrigued me. This hot chocolate claims to create a smooth, velvety indulgent instant hot drink. I shall let you know my thoughts once I have tried this, maybe indulge in this with an American muffin!

Whole Earth £3.00
Now if you are a big fan of nuts in general you will love the sound of this spread. Cashew, hazelnuts and peanuts combination made with the finest natural ingredients with no added sugars. Not sure if I will like this since it seems like an overload of nuts but I am sure I will find some use for this.
American Muffin Company 1 x £2.50
These deliciously tasty muffins got demolished within 2/3 days of arriving. I know some people have received brownies, cakes or cookies but I received chocolate muffins. These are gluten free, wheat free muffins that are made with the finest ingredients such as high cocoa content chocolate chips and Sicilian lemon oil. These were so scrumptious! I am not a big fan of muffins I can never finish them for starters because they taste too filling and I am not a big fan of how dry some taste. But with that being said these have got to be one of the nicest muffins I have tasted. They tasted nice a light, soft and tasty so not dry at all. I think I ate about 3 of these. Probably go down lovely with that peanut butter hot chocolate!
Jack Link's £1.39
Am I seeing things or am I really blogging about a Beef snack?! I have heard of pepperoni sticks but never have I heard of a beef snack before. Jack link's is the world's best-selling meat snacks company. This snack claims to be delicious, convenient and east to eat. This snack is a healthy alternative to people that can be eaten hot or cold I believe. Not sure how I feel about this but I definitely think people who maybe want to eat more protein should purchase these as a snack before or after the gym!
Beet It 2 x £1.85
Just like the beef snack these also really intrigued me. Beet It sport is the number 1 natural nitrate brand in the world. Beetroot shots and bars contain 400g of dietary nitrate so if you are looking for something a little different and in my words bonkers maybe give these a try. I love flapjack so I will definitely be trying these out and hopefully I like them!

Overall my February Degustabox has really got me intrigued and excited. A lot of declious new brands to try out and a lot of quirky little treats to have as snacks.

I would really recommend people who enjoy food and are wanting to try new brands out to give this box a try. Who doesn't love the element of surprise especially with food?! It is like Christmas every month. You always come across some amazing brands and try some yummy recipes too!

If you want to find out what other yummy treats Degustabox send out their website link is here, or you can find them on Twitter or Facebook for more information.
