A Beauty Haul

A Beauty Haul
Excuse me if I sound a little out of tune it feels abnormal to even be sat at my desk on my blog let alone typing a post up. I have been a bit AFB (away from blog) the last couple of weeks due to my 600 hour final uni project, I haven't been able to do anything bar work so my blog has been abandoned. But after plenty of sleepless nights, overdoses on coffee and countless amounts of stress-custard creams I have finally handed in my last ever piece of work and I am almost finished university forever, scary.

I've decided since all the hard work is out of the way to take a bit of a break today and get a blog post up and what better way to start than with a good old beauty haul?! I call this retail therapy as everything here has been picked up on my way home from uni to either cheer myself up or to treat myself to something new.

If you have been reading my blog for awhile then it is no surprise to you that I can get a bit lazy when it comes to applying body moisturizer to my skin. I stumbled across the Original Source Quick Drying Moisturizing Oil Spray in Boot's...quick drying? Not one doubt and it was in my basket. This will be great for the summer for given you that extra glow and moisture as creams can sometimes feel a bit sticky. Ever since I ran out of my Moroccan oil I haven't been able to bring myself to purchase another so instead I went for a cheaper alternative. Herbal Essences Moroccan Me A Miracle Oil is incredible I have been using this for a few weeks and I can't wait to write a review on this! It smells and does such a great job.

Face masks are a big thing in my skincare routine, I just have to use one at least two times a week to keep my skin feeling healthy. I've been running low on my Origin face masks and just like the Moroccan Oil I can't bring myself to repurchase them at the moment. So I went for the Soap&Glory No Clogs Allowed Deep Pore Mask. This is for oily to combination skin and you basically apply the product to your skin then wet your hands and rub it in until it turns blue. This has been the perfect face mask for winding down and de-stressing with as it heats your face up and smells lovely. Another face mask I have picked up is the Sanctuary Spa 5 Minute Thermal Charcoal Mask, I am quite excited to try this sachet as charcoal masks are my favourite. More brands need to offer sachet packs of masks to try!

Because I have been so stressed out with uni work and my anxiety has hit the roof some days I have gotten into the routine of biting my nails. Not the most attractive habit to have but it happens when I am nervous or stressed. I've wanted to let my nails grow for awhile now so I picked up this Nail Biting Solution from Boots. I haven't tried it yet but I will let you know how I get on! Sugar Crush by Soap&Glory is one of my favourite scents for my skin so when I saw a lot of bloggers review their latest body spray I practically ran down the aisle for one. It smells incredible it is definitely more of a sweet, summery scent which is perfect for this time of the year!

My Tangle Teazer was starting to see it's days it was looking a bit flimsy and the bristle on the brush were starting to bend off so I picked a new one up in this lovely pastel purple/pink which is so pretty!

I have saw a lot of new stunning makeup bits from brands I don't always think to try. The Loreal Paris Collective Exclusive by Doutzen lipsticks were one of them. This is in the shade 'Doutzen's nude' which is a beautiful bright, pastel pinky shade. I have also picked up two of the Maybelline Colour Drama Velvet Lip Pencils in 'minimalist' and 'keep it classy' both gorgeous nudey, pink shades. These are apparently dupes to the Nars lip pencils which I already love so I am curious to see if they are. The last makeup item I purchased was the Max Factor Creme Blush in 'lovely pink'. These are stunning I actually wanted them all but I just stuck to one for now.

I can't wait to try these all out and get some reviews posted it has been so long since I wrote a review! Boot's have so many amazing new beauty launches in at the moment lot's of pink/nude products too.

What have you been buying from Boot's recently??

  3. Would you recommend face masks? I've never really been into them but currently I feel like my skin really needs a pick me up. Do they brighten skin? Unclog pores? Or am I asking too much of a face mask lol.
Also, the whole of Maybelline "drama" collection is amazing. Their black kohl eyeliner is something I swear by!

  5. The Maybelline lip pencils are a favourite of mine :) Keep It Classy is a lovely shade! I could do with something like the moisturising oil spray too - body moisturising is such a chore!
