A Few Favourites

A Few Favourites
It is that time of the month where I sit down with pen and paper and think about all the products I have been using and what deserves to be in my monthly favourites. This month's favourites are a bunch of new bits I have either bought or been sent out to try. I hope you have all had a lovely month and I cannot believe it is June already!

This sounds disgusting, tastes disgusting but does wonders to my body which is why it is in my favourites. If you like green tea you will probably tolerate this in your everyday routine. I received a shot glass, scoop and a whisk along with the powder and once every day you add a scoop full of the powder to the glass, add water (or other liquids), mix it then down it. Not the nicest of shots I've tried but it is worth it. I have had one of these every morning and I am starting to see a big result in my body. I feel healthier, lighter and in some ways a lot less tired. It really has made a difference in my body. Once this has run out I will be purchasing another because the results have made such a difference. I definitely recommend trying this.

Soap&Glory Sugar Crush Body Spray
I think 98% of us girls love the Soap&Glory sugar crush range as it just smells absolutely delicious. So when S&G brought out a body spray (also perfume) versions to the sugar crush range I was head over heels. It didn't take long for me to pick this up from Boots and be half way into the bottle already. It does smell like the sugar crush range but a bit more perfumed. I like to spray this all over me before I head out as it is the perfect spring/summer body spray to have.

You might be wondering why my blog lacks in nail products well that is because I am useless with my nails, I bite them when I get nervous and I find painting them a chore so I avoid it most of the time. However recently I've wanted to let my nails grow out and use more nail polishes so when I was contacted to try some press on nails I thought why not see if this makes a difference. The fact they are press on is already a winner for me as that saves a lot of time. I didn't have high hopes for these because they are press on nails but they did last me a good 2/3 days before they started to snap off. Definitely going to try more false nails in the future!

Mini face brushes are just the best convention created for people on the go who don't want to be carrying thousands of huge brushes. I keep this little compact in my bag for any touch ups that need done throughout my day. I don't use them for their specific jobs but they all come in handy and have been a life saver for space as well as keeping my face looking fresh throughout the days.

Benefit Roller Lash Mascara
When I first tried this mascara I wasn't a fan, I didn't see any difference or any improvements that other mascaras do. I abandoned this mascara for a month or so then gave it another try since everyone recommends it so much. After the third or fourth time using it I was seeing some amazing results. This mascara leaves my lashes looking 10x more voluminous than they were before, not only that but because of the curvy shape of the brush it is able to catch all the lashes even the ones in the corners. This doesn't smudge throughout the day and brightens my eyes up a lot, if you are one of those people who has tried this mascara a few times and gave up definitely keep trying you do see results!

Maybelline Color Drama Lip Pencils
These remind me a lot of the Nars lip pencils but a lot cheaper, a dupe perhaps? These are amazing. I picked up 2 nudey, pink shades and they are so long lasting and moisturizing on my lips you wouldn't even think they were £5. I always have one of these popped into my bag to touch up throughout the day as they are so quick and easy to apply. Definitely recommend these if you are considering the Nars lip pencils but want a cheaper alternative.

Herbal Essences Miracle Oil
It is no secret to anybody that hair products are just as much of an obsession as makeup is to me. I haven't been using hair oils for a couple of month now but since the sun is starting to come out the clouds more I have used this Herbal Essences oil for my ends recently. This leaves my hair silky soft and smelling amazing for hours. It does add a bit of a shine but not a huge amount but, overall is has been amazing to use on my ends.

What are your current favourites??

  3. I adore the Maybelline Color Drama Lip Pencils, but I need to try the lighter, nude shades! I love how cute that little, brush set from Makeup Rev is, too. I feel a shopping trip may be in order... I've been loving the haircare from OGX, so affordable and the shampoos and conditioners have made such a difference to my barnet!

  5. Lovely little selection! I'm trying to use up my body sprays so I can pick up the Sugar Crush one!

I have to admit, I HATE how much Teapigs charge for their green tea. You can pick it up loads cheaper from an Asian supermarket and it does the same job. I drink green tea all the time and it's dirt cheap.

  6. I haven't seen that herbal essences oil before but I'm a huge fan of their products so I really want to try it now, I wrote a post on how much I love their clearly naked range earlier this week :) I'm obsessed with the maybelline lip pencils at the moment, the formula is so much more comfortable on the lips than I was expecting and they're such a bargain for £5!

  8. I am actually craving the Roller Lash mascara, I have heard too many good things about it. But I still am using "They're Real" and want to be finished with that before I even consider purchasing it. :)
Also are the Revlon Makeup brushes good quality? I would like to extend my make up brushes a bit but there is no point if they are rubbish!

  14. The Soap & Glory body spray sounds perfect. I love a good mist/spray for the Summer. I actually hate sitting down and painting my nails. So tedious, especially when I always chip them an hour later. I got quite hooked on imPress nails last Summer; although I did find that the edges didn't always stick down completely and I was forever catching them in my hair - ouch! My current obsession has to be the Clarins Lip Perfector balms. I need them all! x

I was given a Nars lip pencil for my birthday and it's absolutely incredible ( I actually have a blog post on it!) but they're so expensive I couldn't afford to buy more myself. I'm so glad you said about the Maybelline ones since I've never seen them. I'll have to check them out at the weekend! Fab post xxx
