Latest In Beauty | The Summer Kit

Latest In Beauty | The Summer Kit
Whoever the culprit was who created the idea of receiving a monthly subscription box filled with surprises deserves a reward! Every month when I receive one of these fabulous boxes it is like Santa Claus has arrived early.

Latest In Beauty* is a beauty subscription box that tailors to suit your needs. You have the option to receive a LIB collection or a build your own box and are able to join or cancel whenever it suits you.

I was really excited to receive this month's box and even more flabbergasted when I saw how many amazing beauty brands and products I had received. I have subscribed to 3 or 4 beauty boxes previously and none have contained more then 5 or 6 products so this was exciting! I love the theme of this box 'get the gloss summer it kit' filled with lots of summery products that I can't wait to play around with.

Salon Science Aqua Cacteen Hydra-soothe Cooling Spray: Infused with an extract of a rare organic cactus native to Mexico this refreshing cool spray works to re-hydrate and nourish, making it the perfect antidote to parched hair and frazzled scalps. When I opened the box up the weather was very hot outside so when I picked this up and saw 'cooling spray' I had straight away sprayed this all over my face, don't do this. That was a lesson to read before you use! This cooling spray is for your scalp not your face and it apparently helps add moisture as well as frazzled scalps. This is something that definitely interests me as I am always wanting to keep my hair in good shape so something like this will always be of use.

Aurelia Probiotic Skincare Refine & Polish Miracle Balm: This duo exfoliator and enzyme mask gently reenergises and the skin, leaving it feeling cleansed, smooth, radiant and ready for the new season. This sounds perfect for my oily skin especially on those days where I need a bit more TLC to get rid of access dirt and oils.

Nuxe Huile Prodigieuse: Packed with precious plant oils and vitamin E, this dry oil can be added to foundation, moisturizers or directly to the face, body and hair for a deeply nourishing, natural-looking radiance. I am really excited to give this a try because when summer arrives I am always on the lookout for highlighting and adding radiance to my skin so this is definitely something I want to try mixing into some of my foundation.

Elemntal Herbology Cell Plumping Facial Hydrator: Bursting with antioxidants, vitamins, minerals and ultra-hydrating botanical's, this lightweight yet super nourishing daily moisturizer is your ticket to visibly plumper, more radiant looking skin. I am not too sure whether this is aimed at my skin type as I think it is more for dry skin but I will give it a try since it claims to add radiance which we all want in summer!

Phillip Kingsley Swimcap: Whether you're lying by the pool or swimming in it, this product is a must for maintaining soft, well conditioned hair. UV filters protect against the damaging sun's rays but they also act as a barrier in chlorinated and salt water, preventing breakages and hair discoloration. I dye my hair frequently so swimming or going in a pool always scares me in case I come out with green hair! This sounds interesting but I am still not too sure if I am brave enough to face the pool.

Anne Semonin Eye Express Radiance Ice Cube: This freezer-stored cube is the perfect pick-me-up for sleepy peepers, targeting puffiness and dark circles. Gingko biloba, gourd extract and hyaluronic acid act as the ideal cooling combo for refreshing tired eyes. I love my sleep a lot therefore if I get lack of it my eyes pay for it in the morning. I have never heard of a ice cube product to de-puff eyes so I am really interested in how this works!

Nails Inc Gel Effect Nail Polish: These high-gloss, true colour polishes are all you need for a vibrant mani or pedi. I always get into painting my nails bright colours once the summer weather appears so this colour really stood out to me. I will definitely be using this colour on my toes as I think it will look lovely with some white sandals.

Bourjois Aqua Blush: Fresh, cool and light as a feather one plump of this silky gel blush delivers a believable, radiant flush that lasts through even the most sultry summer heat. I love rosy, pink blushers in summer more than any other time of the year so this product excited me but also intrigued me. I have never came across a pump blusher before if anything they seem a little too messy but, from just a rub on the back of my hand I can definitely tell this product is light based and long lasting.

Overall I can definitely see the summer kit vibe this box has as it is filled with lots of refreshing, nourishing, radiant product that will definitely give you the summer glow. I definitely think this box is good value for money and I would love to create my own box in the future to see the difference!

  8. Hi,

I love your blog, it's the absolute best.
I'm Swedish, but I've been living in London for the last two years. When I was living in Sweden I had a Glossybox subscription, and really liked it. I have lately been looking in to starting a new subscription here in England, but I'm not sure which box to go for (as there are way more options here than it is in Sweden). Which boxes have you tried, and what did you think about them? Would really appreciate if you could do a post about it. :)
