Claudia Louch Makeup

Claudia Louch Makeup
Claudia Louch is a beauty brand I was very much unfamiliar with until the wonderful world of blogging recently took it by storm. Anyone who suffers with oily to spot prone skin will know that a good concealer and powder is essential for getting you that coverage and keeping away the shine for longer, so I was very excited to see if these tickled my fancy.

First of all can we just point out how luxurious this range is? I mean come'on the makeup comes in a velvet pouch for goodness sake! 10 points for that one Claudia.
Claudia Louch Makeup
The Mineral Compact Pressed Powder* - At a flabbergasting £52.50 I was expecting great things from this product. It already ticked several boxes - compact mirror for on the go touch-ups and a sponge applicator for emergencies. This light weight, soft powder sets my makeup lovely without looking too matte or cakey. It provides slight coverage that doesn't clog up my pores or melt off after a few hours. However as great of a product it is my MAC Mineralize Skin Finish is half the price and does just as good of a job.

The Lashware Mascara* - This mascara is designed for people with sensitive eyes or wear contacts and is said to be water-resistant that will give you a natural finish. This mascara definitely helped separate my lashes but regards to lengthen or thickening I didn't see it. I have been wearing this on days I don't want to wear makeup but want to wake my eyes up a little and to be honest it only lasts a couple of hours before panda eyes happen. I don't think it is worth £21 but I do approve of it being aimed at a wider range of people.

The Concealer Trio* - A multi-tasking, lightweight concealer claims to cover a wide variety of skin problems including spots, scaring, redness, wrinkles and discoloration, sounds great right?. I have been using the lightest shade as that is closest to my pale skin I do think it's a waste of money paying £35 for a trio and only one matches your skin. The coverage is actually really impressive I found this covered my under eye circles perfectly and removed any redness on my skin. It also reduced the visibility of any blemishes I may have so overall a great concealer.

*PR Sample/gift.

Have you tried Claudia's makeup??

  2. not the greatest products by the sound of it, although i think a good concealer is hard to come by. it's a shame they only do the trios. great, honest review x

    1. I think it's the price that is a little off putting, I agree the concealer is great but it seems unusual to be selling 3 different shades in one trio

  3. Love reviews like this!! I completely understand where you're coming from comparing these products to cheaper similar versions. I could never imagine spending £52.00 on a powder. I have one from Rimmel which I absolutely love & it's less than a tenner. Great review chick, loved reading your post.

  5. I never really understand concealer palettes that have such a massive difference between shades. Whose skin tone could use all 3 of those?! Haha. It's too bad the quality of these don't match the price point. I actually found a dupe for one of the MAC powders I use at KIKO, which is half the price of MAC, so I can't imagine paying THREE TIMES as much for something from this line that I've never heard of before now! Eep.

Lovely review though. So nice to hear an honest one!

  6. PHEEEW £52? Nope. Sounds like this range is a little too pricey for what it does. Interesting to hear your thoughts! x

  7. I did find this range quite pricey, and a bit too much for me. The mascara is lovely, but like you said, not really worth the £21!
