The Skincare Trial

The Currently Trialling Out Products
I mostly blog beauty related topics which means I trial out a lot of products to review. I've came up with an idea to create little 'skincare trial' blog posts that I will be posting every so often. It's sort of like a catch-up post but with products I have been trying recently to keep you updated on what I do behind the screen.

Origins Ginzing Refreshing Scrub - Santa Claus kindly got me an Origin set last Christmas and in this set included the Ginzing Scrub. I have been using this scrub recently to try and shift any dryness that my spot treatment gel is causing. I love the scent to this it's very fruity and refreshing. The beads don't feel abrasive or harsh on my skin and if anything it feels quite relaxing and soothing. I am really enjoying trying this product and I may purchase the full size some day!

Cosmopolitan Eau De Parfum* - Let's pretend this is skincare shall we. Already a big fan of the magazine and I love reading their Snapchat stories so I was excited to try Cosmopolitans perfume. This is a blend of fruits (pineapple, mandarin and red berries), saffron, jasmine, touch of spice, sandalwood, vanilla and musk all rolled in one bottle. I absolutely love the smell of this and you can really get a whiff of the fruit mixed with spice. I like wearing this during the day to work as it smells so lovely, the scent changes as the day goes on I find. You can pick this perfume up now in Boots too so go smell it!

Cocoa Brown Gradual Tan* - I am not the biggest fan of false tans however I do love gradual tans which is why I was excited to try this out. For starters this smells lovely and fruity which is a nice change to the biscuit-y scent most tans leave. It blended into my skin super fast and the results were quick too. The only negative thing I can say about this tan is it is quite difficult to remove after washes. This can be a good thing too!

Jason Power Smile Toothpaste* - I am always on the hunt to find cheap, effective ways to whiten your teeth. I've been trialing this whitening toothpaste for a few weeks now and to be completely honest I haven't so strong results just yet. I will continue to use this and see how if I can see any more results over the next few weeks and report back. Overall though this toothpaste feels nice and leaves a lovely fresh taste in your mouth.

The Body Shop Insta Blur - Having heard so many great reviews on this product I was excited to give this a whirl. The Insta Blur contains mattifying powder and vitamin E cream, together they soothe pores, hide blemishes, reduce shininess, helps makeup last longer and corrects the skin. This 5 in 1 product seemed too good to be true but, after giving it a go I could definitely see some results. My makeup seemed to of stayed on my face a lot longer without starting to melt and the silky consistency made applying my foundation a lot easier. I absolutely love this!

What have you been trialing out lately??

  7. I loved the body shop's insta blur but I found that 6 hours into my day my skin would look so patchy and my makeup would just look awful. So I tried Benefit's porefessional and it's made so much more of a difference than insta blur! I can go 8 hours without looking into a mirror and know that my makeup isn't starting to cakeup or fade.

    1. Hmmm that sounds strange, it hasn't happened to me perhaps it works on certain skin types. See Benefit's Primers never got on with my skin!
