H&M Beauty Haul

h&m beauty
I have always wanted to try H&M Beauty since the moment it first came out, however, my local shop doesn't stock the range, therefore, I am out of touch. I went on a little shopping trip a bit further out from my town last weekend and to my surprise, the H&M stocked the beauty range, so long money. I picked up a couple of bits and decided to write a little haul and share with you what is available.

I could have spent so much more in there but to be honest, my boyfriend was getting a lil' impatient since we did go on a Saturday, so I just grabbed what stood out and left £18 shorter - I may have to return. One of the products I was on the hunt for was the H&M Face Masks and as you can see I've bought 4 of these quirky products. These little gems cost £1.99 each which is such a bargain! They do a variety of masks (maybe a dozen types) so I picked up a couple for spot prone, oily and one for dry skin types. The flavours of these sound so cool, I don't think I've ever come across a face mask with quinoa in before so I am excited. I have seen mixed reviews of these online so I am sceptical but I will write a review on them soon.

I wondered around the makeup section so many times no wonder my boyfriend decided to wait outside and play Pokemon. I did want to buy a blusher but I really don't like creamy consistencies I find they can crumble my foundation a bit. So I opted for an eyeshadow palette since I've been wanting a palette that isn't expensive to wear for every day. This palette is called 'smoky nude' and has all the shades I would wear for every day. You could easily wear this for an evening look but I bought it for the nude/pink shades. What I love about this palette is it's travel-friendly, it's super tiny and comes with a good size mirror. The packaging itself looks very luxurious too which is one thing I did like about H&Ms beauty range everything looks very high-end.

Overall I am really impressed with H&M Beauty range so I may have to return in the future for one of their lipsticks or blushers.

What would you recommend from H&m Beauty??

Graduation Makeup Look

Graduation Makeup Look
A lot of you smarty-pants are graduating very soon congratulations if so! You can finally tuck away a degree on your CV's and relax after 3/4 years of working your socks off. When I graduated last summer I spent quite a long time trying to decide what I wanted to wear and how I wanted my makeup for my graduation. I sort of wish there was blog posts with inspirational makeup looks for graduating, so I've kind of done that for those of you who are not entirely sure yourselves.

These are pretty similar/mostly what I wore for my graduation too!

Base:
Since you will be spending most of your day smiling and getting lots of photos taken it is good to have a solid base that won't ruin your day. The Hylamide Finisher HA Bluris the perfect primer for prepping your skin. This hydrates, minimizes pores and plumps your skin, it also helps reduce any redness and lets my foundation glide on so much easier. As the day goes on you won't find your makeup cracking or starting to melt off. Since graduating is a special day it's nice to wear something with a bit more coverage so Estee Lauder Double Wear Foundation is a great option. I used this foundation for my own graduation and it definitely made my face look a lot more put together on photographs. It covered any imperfections I had and stayed in place all day. To set your foundation in place it's good to apply and carry in your bag a powder. I use MAC MSF and I've always used this throughout my teenage years.

For my graduation I kept my makeup quite simple so I applied a tiny amount of the Soap&Glory Solar Bronzer around my face and then Max Factor Creme Blush on my cheeks. This just leaves my base with some shape and colour without it looking too much. If you are wanting a little bit of a subtle, dewy highlight pop some of YSL Touche Eclat under your eyes and blend with a sponge. This instantly lifts your eyes and makes your makeup to look so healthy!

Eyes:
For eyeshadow I used my Charlotte Tilbury Dolce Vita Quad since it was a special occasion. I absolutely love this palette the shades are so pigmented and do not budge at all, they are definitely worth wearing for special occasions. To draw a little bit more attention to your eyes NYX Milk Eye Crayon is perfect for brightening up that inner corner. This crayon instantly makes your eyes look more awake and it looks amazing in photographs.

Lips:
For my graduation I actually used a YSL Lipstick in 'Volupte Shine' but if I was to go back in time I would definitely use the NYX Lip Cream in 'Abu Dhabi'. This is the most perfect lip shade if you want a nude/brown/pink all in one. What I love about these lip creams is they don't budge from your lips which are perfect for a graduation or any other occasion where you are too busy to keep reapplying.

Finish:
I like to finish my makeup off with a setting spray as they are really refreshing and have always kept my makeup in place. I've recently been reaching for the NYX Matte Finish Spray and it has been amazing for keeping my makeup from melting or starting to shine as quick.

My PM Skincare Essentials

My PM Skincare Essentials
I don't think I've ever written an evening skincare routine blog post before and it's because I like to swap and change my products around. For the past couple of month's, I have been religiously using certain products once I have removed my makeup and cleansed my skin. I decided to share with you all what my staple evening products are and why I have been using them every single day without fail.

Once I ran out of my trustworthy Origins Eye Cream I turned to this lil' guy in the hope it'll help diminish the appearance of any dark circles I have. It definitely did. This lightweight eye treatment not only helped reduce the appearance of dark circles it gave my eyes radiance, but they also looked a lot brighter and more awake. I absolutely love this eye cream it is such a pleasant product to use before bed.

Origin's Ginzing Moisturizer | £25.00
I have gone through so many tubs of this moisturizer ever since I first laid eyes on it one Christmas Day. This has been the best moisturizer I've tried for oily skin, it smells so refreshing and feels very lightweight on my skin. This oil-free cream is packed with Ginseng and coffee beans to jump start hydration levels and create a healthy, vibrant glow. This has been a holy grail for keeping my oil at bay and allowing my skin to look and feel so much healthier!

The Body Shop Tea Tree Oil | £8.00
When I was younger I never really saw the benefits to tea tree oils but lately, I have loved using this on any blemishes I have. This helps reduce inflammation on any angry spots I have and after a couple of days, the spot will have disappeared! It's not the best spot treatment I have tried but if you have the odd spot or two this is great for those. I pop this on just before bed and it is the last thing I apply to my skin before sleep.

Elizabeth Arden 8 Hour Cream | £27.00
A pricey bugger but I totally don't regret treating myself to this after hearing so many amazing things. This cream can be used on everything: chapped lips, dry knees, elbows, hands and even brows. I pop this on just before bed all over my lips and let the 8-hour magic happen. I also like using this when I am at work because the air con can be quite drying to my lips and this just helps keep them moisturized! It will make a great hand cream in the winter too.

Dove Derma Spa Hand Cream | £4.99
We use our hands every single day, therefore, it's nice to give them a bit of treatment, I always reach for this hand cream whenever I can, to be honest. I pop it on my hands just before bed and some time on my elbows too. It is such a pleasant hand cream that doesn't leave you with greasy or sticky hands.

9 Amazing Beauty Hacks

Whenever I wander over my Youtube homepage I come across quite a lot of these 'hack' videos. Now hacks or tips have always been something I enjoy reading or watching as who doesn't love finding out easier solutions to everyday things? Over the past couple of weeks, I've been writing down a list of some of the beauty tips that I would 100% recommend and decided to share them with you!

1. Natural Yogurt as Face Mask - This is a little tip I've known for years and I swear by it. Any time my skin gets a little dry I like to apply natural yoghurt all over my face and let it sit for 30 minutes. My skin is left hydrated and it saves so much money!

2. Cotton Buds To Fix Flaws - Got makeup on your lips? Dab a cotton bud into your makeup remover and wipe off any makeup from your lips.

3. Vaseline Fixes Dye - Before you dye your hair apply a layer of Vaseline around your hairline to stop any traces of hair dye from sticking to your face.

4. Dry Shampoo Overnight - If you know your hair will be greasy the next day spray dry shampoo in your hair before bed and you will wake up with fresher looking hair. This saves so much time!

5. The Triangle Method - When you are applying concealer under your eyes draw an upside down triangle, trust me the results are amazing.

6. Shave With Baby Oil - Let's face it buying shaving cream is something we all forget about. Shaving your legs with baby oil will leave them feeling incredibly soft and keeps your razor lasting longer.

7. Invest In Silk - Silk eye masks are amazing to wear to go to sleep, you will wake up with healthier eyes.

8. The Tissue Trick - To matte down your lipstick dab your lips over a folded piece of tissue and your lips will stay matte for hours!

9. Apply Toothpaste To Spot - Oldest trick in the book if you are going out tonight dab some toothpaste over that swollen mountain on your face.

The Naked Look

The Naked Look
If there is one thing I love it's a nude lip product, they are so appealing and I can guarantee I have 2 or 3 in my handbag right now. They are perfect for all occasions, so simple to apply and are my go-to lips for when I am in a rush or feeling not so bold for a bright colour. After digging through numerous bags I finally collected my favourite nudes and decided to write a blog post about them.

NYX Lip Creams | £5.50
Since my local Boots started selling NYX products my bank account has been enjoying these lip creams. What I love about the NYX LC's is that there are so many shades to choose from and so many shades of nude which I love! The two that I love most are 'Abu Dhabi' and 'London'. These matte lip creams glide onto your lips so quick and easy and stay in place for a good few hours. Abu Dhabi is a bit more of a warm nude whereas London is more of a chocolate nude. They are quite drying so I always like to pop some balm on beforehand, but for £5.50 I can see me gathering a big collection of these!

Soap & Glory Sexy Mother Pucker Lipstick 'barely pinking' | £9.00
It's no secret on my blog that I love S&G makeup products so when I saw these appealing lipsticks I instantly grabbed a nude. A little bit like Abu Dhabi this is a warm-toned nude shade that gives your lips a little bit of colour, a 'your lips but better' look. These lipsticks have come in both matte or shine, this one I have is more of a shiny finish which I personally love. These are so easy to apply and I find they are a little moisturizing as well which I really like especially once it gets a little colder.

NARS Lip Pencil 'descanso' | £20.00
This NARS Lip Pencil is probably my favourite nude lip product for long lasting and giving my lips good shape. Since it is a pencil you have a bit more control and time to play around with how you want it to look. I personally like covering my whole lips in these and then outlining it with a liner. They are matte finishes and they don't leave your lips feeling dry or crumbly like some. Whenever I wear this my lips instantly look awake if that makes sense? I definitely recommend these!

Soap & Glory Sexy Mother Pucker Gloss Stick 'nudist' | £3.50
Out of all my favourite nudes, this one is the easiest to apply and requires no time whatsoever which is why it lives in my handbag for any quick getaways. These lip crayons are so hydrating and glide onto your lips so easily that feels like nothing is on almost. They definitely give you that 'pucker' feel without the tingle that makes your lips look fuller and more voluminous. I just think these are amazing to have in your collection especially if you are like me and don't always have the time or forget to apply a lip product on.

5 Apps Worth Paying For

5 Apps Worth Paying For
I can't deny that I love spending endless amounts of time discovering and obsessing over new apps. If you had asked me 2 years ago would you pay for an app? I would snigger and say no I'd rather buy something else. Since then I have actually downloaded several apps and paid for them, some of which I would definitely recommend paying for. These are my top 5 apps I think are worth every penny and why.

Facetune - Editing App £1.99
I have always enjoyed taking and editing my photographs for social media and my blog but only recently have I discovered Facetune. I think when you pay for an app you are expecting fireworks and magical things to happen, which is exactly this app. I downloaded this app purely because I love being able to whiten backgrounds free-handed without having to brighten or add other effects. This app also comes with some amazing effects that can give you perfect skin (if you have those ugly spots on the show!) and really helps whiten your photographs. My last 3/4 Instagram photos have been edited using this app and I think you can really tell the difference.

Theory Test £1.99
Even though I haven't got round to re-using this app to pass my tests, but when I did my driving lessons last summer I was always using this app any free time I had. This app has everything theory related that you need to study in order to pass your theory test. I used to do a quick test every day whenever I had 10 minutes spare and I actually quite enjoyed it so I might have to try and get back into doing my lessons again.

Monument Valley £2.99
This was an impulse buy that had great reviews, but basically, this is a surreal exploration through fantastical architecture and impossible geometry. You guide the silent princess Ida through mysterious moments, uncovering hidden paths and unfolding optical illusions. This is such a cute game to play and I find it quite calming too, it's definitely a stress-free game to play.

What's App (First Year Free)
I've had this app for years and its a great social media app to have to keep up to date with friends. I personally like this app because you can create groups and you don't have to pay to send a message, video etc. It's also quite nice to have an app that doesn't allow you to read peoples statuses or tweets, it is strictly a socializing app which I like.

Netflix £5.99 a month
Netflix is definitely an app worth investing in if you enjoy watching TV Series, films, Documentaries etc. I find this app so useful if you are travelling or stuck waiting somewhere for a very long time. This app is also great for us lazy ones who would much rather watch Orange is the New Black on our phone rather than turning our laptops on.

My Drugstore 'No Makeup' Essentials

My Drugstore 'No Makeup' Look
Since it's supposedly summer even though it is raining as I type, I always like to try and wear lighter makeup and let my skin breathe more. I've been wearing my Double Wear foundation a lot less and going for a more natural or 'no makeup' makeup look recently and my skin does look a lot more healthy.

Today I decided to share with you my drugstore 'no makeup' essentials.

If I am having a good skin day which lately has been a few times I like to ditch my foundation and use The Body Shop BB Cream. This cream gives you a light to medium coverage and leaves you with an even finish. The white cream consistency did scare me at first but the cream adapts to your skin tone and blends in so quickly. My face doesn't feel half as heavy as it does with foundation and it doesn't feel clogged up either. Since I have oily skin I like to set my BB Cream with Rimmel Stay Matte Powder just to keep everything at bay. This isn't the best powder in the world but for a drugstore, it is quite good and it keeps your makeup in place for hours.

The Bourjois Chocolate Bronzer is what I like to use to give my face some definition. This palette is so delicious you are almost tempted to eat it. This gives my skin a subtle bronze look with a tiny bit of shimmer. It is so easy to blend and just overall a lovely product to have in your makeup stash. I then apply the Natural Collection Blush in 'Peach Melba' to my cheeks, which is the perfect shade for a natural look. This gives my cheeks a tiny amount of colour that looks perfect for the 'no makeup' look.

If I fancy a little bit of a healthy glow I reach for the Bourjois Java Rice Powder and apply this just on my cheekbones, down my nose and my brow bone. This is such a light, subtle highlight that isn't too noticeable and perfect for those natural makeup looks. It is so easy to blend and smells amazing! If my eyes don't look as awake as I'd like them to look I will reach for the Rimmel Scandeleyes Kohl Liner in Nude and apply this to the bottom lids of my eyes. This instantly wakes my eyes up and really pulls my makeup together, I swear by this product!

To finish my drugstore 'no makeup' look I have been reaching out for NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream in 'Stockholm'. This is such a lovely matte nude lip shade perfect for a natural finish. I love all the NYX Nude Lip Colour range they're so inexpensive and literally have a colour for everyone!
