Specspost Glasses Review

Specspost Glasses Review
Specspost is an online glasses company that has a wide range of glasses and sunglasses to suit your face and prescription. The great thing about this company is they've got a service where you choose a couple of pairs of your choice and they send out the frames for you to try before you decide on purchasing one, for 7 days. You can also send a photo of yourself for a more professional recommendation of the frames to see what suits you best. This is great if like me you have 0 time to make appointment's to your opticians or just don't have the confidence to try a load of glasses on in a store.

1. Alexa Chung Retro Style Glasses
I personally love these, I think they suit my frame of face quite well. They are a little thick on the frames whereas I prefer frames that I can't really notice on that is the only downfall. The design itself is amazing I love leopard print to start off with and this colour really matches my hair well!

2. Kane Petite Glasses
These ones are my favourite as I have quite a small shaped face to start off with so these went on perfectly no thickness or boldness. The frames itself: plain black which I really like, I think black framed glasses can pretty much suit any person. I demonstrated with a bold lip colour as well to contrast with the frames which worked really well.

3. Black and Pink Retro Glasses
I really like these glasses with my hair up. The shape of these glasses is really quirky I like the angle on the edges how it points out almost, it brightens up parts of my face really well. The colour is what initially drawn me into trying these, I think the colour works really well together with nothing too drastic but enough to add detail.

4. Big Bang Longer Arm Glasses
These glasses definitely are a bang with the square looking frame! I like the frame its very unique but I don't think these shaped frames suit my frame of the face well. They are a little too big for my face and because I have a sort of oval looking shape these are more suitable for people with bigger shaped faces. The design itself is lovely and can give you a very sophisticated feel too.

Overall thoughts.
I was quite happy with reviewing these glasses and I'd be happy to do it again. I hope this has helped anyone who is looking for a new pair I'd recommend Specspost if you are wanting a variety of designs to try. They have really quirky names for each of there frames which makes the deciding feel more appealing!

Soap & Glory Loved & Glossed

Soap & Glory Loved & Glossed
I am a sucker for when Boots bring their Christmas Soap & Glory beauty sets out and this one caught my eye. I was super excited to receive this on Christmas day, I was just eager to give them a try. It is only until now I have had the chance to wear them all and give you my reviews on them!

First of all, the packaging. I was drawn in by the packaging before I even asked for this set! the tin would come in handy for earrings or something so that is useful! I like the black and white chess kind of print makes it look classy and appealing. So I definitely give the packaging a 10 out of 10.

I was a little edgy to try these lip gloss sticks because I am not a huge fan of S&G lip products they are always too sticky for my liking unfortunately and I am not a huge fan of glosses either. But nonetheless I was willing to give them a go and I am glad I did!

They smell amazing! all three of them: Nudist, Fuschia Ristic and Plum Jam smell of sweet, sugar almonds..well that is the scent I get from them anyway. So far Nudist is my favourite colour it just suits my skin tone really well and that is a shock considering nudes don't always suit me!

They all go on really well, I do find you need to spend a little more time rubbing the product on your lips than you would with any other stick products as they are a little sheer for my skin to see.

They seem to go on really creamy and moisturizing which is great as nobody likes lip products that dry your lips out, so they are very much like a lip balm. They are a gorgeous set of sheer, glossy sticks that are perfect for everyday! I notice my lips look a lot brighter and healthy wearing these!

Definitely worth getting your hands on if they are still in stock!

Just A Few La-Roche Posay Reviews

La Roche-Posay Collection Reviews
Coming to you from the future I do apologise for the terrible photo quality I was a student who was super busy!

I have been a huge fan of the La Roche-Posay Effaclar Duo for over half a year now and decided to venture out and try more of their skincare range for oily to combination skin because the Duo did such great things to my skin!

La Roche-Posay Effaclar Duo
This has been a firm favourite of mine and I am shocked I haven't talked about it sooner. It is definitely a miracle worker for fixing those problematic skin types, whether that is redness, blemishes or just looking dull and having no radiance. I find applying this on redness and blemishes reduces the colour and size dramatically. On those 'no-makeup lazy days' at home I tend to apply this in the morning and by the evening my face looks a lot healthier. It does definitely help clear up your problems on your skin! I would highly recommend this to anyone - also being an oily prone skin type I find using this before applying moisturizer and make-up keeps my oil at bay for a little while longer.

La Roche-Posay Effaclar Purifying Foaming Gel Cleanser
What a mouthful to type out! I have had my eye on this cleanser for quite a while, I was a bit skeptical about it being a foam gel cleanser as I much prefer the cream consistency's but, nonetheless I went for it. What I like about this gel is it smells refreshing I love refreshing, organic scents to cleansers it makes it feel more natural on my skin. After rubbing this onto my face for a minute or so when I patted my face dry I noticed after the first time using it not much difference. But, after a couple more times I had noticed this product reduced redness a lot! and you know when your face feels and looks dirty but it isn't? well, this product fixed me feeling dull. Definitely give this a go if you have oily prone skin, I have noticed my skin is a lot more tighter and even sometimes dry! my make-up seems to look a lot more less oily too! so this definitely has helped at keeping oil at bay.

La Roche-Posay Effaclar Mat Moisturizer
I have been on the lookout for a new moisturizer for oily skin for what feels like forever. Santa kindly popped this into my stocking. I love the texture of this moisturiser, almost a creamy consistency. However, it does leave my face with a white cast look so, unfortunately, that was a downside. It does, however, help keep oil at bay especially on those long days at uni when I don't have time to touch-up.

Products That Need More Hype

Products That Need More Hype
December was a busy month for me with it being my birthday, anniversary, Christmas, New Year and bits in between etc so fancy, formal make-up was used a lot throughout this month. Which gave me the idea to create a post all about make-up products that need more hype.

Who knows where I get these crazy ideas from? Mainly when I am in the shower.

Witch Hazel Anti-Blemish Skin Clearing Primer (Now discontinued)
I have had this product for a good year and have not changed my primer since. This primer definitely needs more hype or a lot more people to try it! I have oily/combination skin so I do unfortunately suffer from hormonal spots. This primer promises to help stop those blemishes from appearing after wearing make-up all day. I do definitely 100% think this product has helped stop this happening! every time I wear make-up I have no problems with receiving those breakouts throughout the day. Definitely, think this primer does what it says, plus it is very moisturizing too.

Real Techniques Complexion Sponge
Don't get me wrong I love using RT make-up brushes to blend in my foundations and concealers but since September/October time I found myself using this little beauty. Now I would never imagine I would love a make-up sponge more than brushes but I do. When this first came out I saw loads of people review this so highly, but lately, I have noticed not many reviews or people speaking of this. I find this product amazing for blending in makeup, it especially gives your that higher end, juicy look. I also noticed my foundation looks a lot healthier when blending in with this. I love how flexible this product is and how the pointed corner can be used to dab in concealer. Which again I use for, concealer looks great blended in using this. Also, I find if you get dry skin in some areas on your face this sponge helps to avoid noticing the dry patches.

Too Faced Shadow Insurance Eyeshadow Primer
An eyeshadow primer isn't necessarily an essential product to have but it is definitely worth given a go. Throughout December I was using various eyeshadows and applied this primer on my lids beforehand. What I like about this primer is how great it is straight away, what I mean is I made a mistake on my eyelid so I decided to wipe it all off and start again and it was hard to budge off because the primer sunk in instantly. I noticed when using this my eyeshadow didn't go into the crease area after hours of wearing it and everything stayed in place.

HD Brows Bronzer
I was extremely happy when I received this in my September Glossybox last year! I have never/but always wanted to try HD Brows products. This product is great for a bronzer or for contouring your cheekbones. I preferably use this for my cheekbones more to add definition. I definitely think this product is worth the money, it just adds a lovely colour to your face (and I am fair!). It has the tiniest and I mean the tiniest amount of sparkle inside of it. Nothing noticeable but something that adds more to your face. It is very easy to apply and you only need a tiny amount on your brush.

MUA Mosaic Blush
This product is so pretty! I just love all the colours in this mosaic. It is a beautiful blush on your face especially if you are wanting multiple colours that aren't noticeable. It leaves a lovely glittery shine to your face as well nothing too dramatic but enough to give you a highlight. I notice when I wear this and get photos taken my cheeks just look healthy and glowy. Definitely give this a try!

BalmI lip Balm
For those who haven't heard or saw Balmi before, basically these are Boots/UK version of the EOS balms that America sell. I have both but always prefer the UK Balmi because of how moisturizing they are. I never see any reviews or people favoring these which is a shame because they are really good! very long lasting on the lips and have great moisture built in them. Definitely give them a go!

Rimmel Scandeleyes kohl liner - Nude

I got this just before Christmas and already I am loving it! I have saw a few reviews of the black version of this eyeliner but none on the nude. Now, I don't often wear black eyeliner on a daily basis so I decided to venture for a nude eyeliner that way the is something on my water line that just brightens up my eyes a little better on a daily basis. I didn't think i'd be as impressed as I was. People need to give this a try! it lasted all day and was a struggle to remove which just amazes me. And my eyes looked a lot more brighter and noticeable.

Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Lip Stains

Got a few of these lip stains and can honestly say I much prefer them to lipsticks in winter. Don't get me wrong I do love lipsticks but if you are wanting something long lasting and maybe a little more moisturizing I thought these did the trick. These were very popular last Summer I believe, but I still think they are amazing in winter. They are long lasting, moisturizing and have amazing colours. Definitely hunt one down and give them a go!

What make-up products do you think need more hype?
