Soap&Glory Favourites

Soap&Glory Favourites
I love Soap&Glory, I have for quite a few years now and I lately I've been loving their makeup range. So, I came up with the idea of sharing with you's my favourite Soap&Glory products given mini reviews on why I love them!
Soap&Glory Body products
The Scrub of your life
My friend got me liking this scrub a few years back as a Christmas present and since then I have repurchased this numerous times. It smells amazing for starters: very fresh and fruit. Its a great scrub not too harsh but not too soft either and once I have washed it off my legs are moisturized. Also this lasts a long time almost as long as the tubs of scrubs they do!

Sugar Crush body butter cream
I got this for Christmas in a set with a few others but this one was my favourite. It smells so so so yummy! it reminds me of snowballs the alcoholic drinks usually made around Christmas. It has a really nice texture as well, easy to blend in and very quick to dry. But the scent is the best feature for me.

Scrub your nose in it
When I suffered with major breakouts this stuff helped dry those spots up and reduce the amount of redness on my face. The consistency's color (green) is a little scary but, despite the colour if you leave it on your face for a few minutes it definitely helps your skin out. I don't use this as often as I used to but still nice treat to apply! doesn't make my skin worse or anything. But it can be quite stingy on the skin.

Supercat black eyeliner
I am still practicing using pen eyeliners but this seems to help a lot as its easy to apply and doesn't go everywhere like most do. The tip is very slim but can be build able and its long lasting on the eyes. I've saw some really nice finishes using this eyeliner, I just need more practice! definite favourite eyeliner.

Glow all out luminzing face powder
It is designed for a face powder but myself and others use this as a highlighter. It has a little bit of a shimmer so it definitely has a highlight built in. What I like about this is its easy to apply and is long lasting. Best highlight product I have came across.

Sexy Mother Pucker gloss sticks here
Got a set of 3 for Christmas and they are truly amazing! long lasting, moisturizing, leaves a nice glow on the lips that isn't sticky and they have amazing shades to try.
I did a review.
Soap&Glory body spray and hand gel
Soft and sexy fragrant body spray
This is my favourite body spray by Soap&Glory it smells very girly and not tacky. Lasts a long time, the packaging is appealing as well!

Hand Maid hand gel
Went through loads of these hand gels, I personally love this because of the scent and the colour of the gel. Very appealing packaging and the scents a bonus.

Specspost Glasses Review

Specspost Glasses Review
Specspost is an online glasses company that has a wide range of glasses, sunglasses to suit your face and prescription. The great thing about this company is they've got a service where you choose a couple of pairs of your choice and they send out the frames for you to try before you decide on purchasing for 7 days.  You can also send a photo of yourself for a more professional recommendation of the frames to see what suits you best.

Specspost Glasses Review

1. Alexa Chung Retro Style Glasses
I personally love these, I think they suit my frame of face quite well. They are a little thick on the frames whereas I prefer frames that I can't really notice on that is the only downfall. The design itself is amazing I love leopard print to start off with and this colour really matches my hair well!

2. Kane Petite Glasses
These ones are my favourite as I have quite a small shaped face to start off with so these went on perfectly no thickness or boldness. The frames itself: plain black which I really like, I think black framed glasses can pretty much suit any person. I demonstrated with a bold lip colour as well to contrast with the frames which worked really well.

3. Black and Pink Retro Glasses
I really like these glasses with my hair up. The shape of these glasses is really quirky I like the angle on the edges how it points out almost, it brightens up parts of my face really well. The colour is what initially drawn me into trying these, I think the colour works really well together nothing too drastic but enough to add detail.

4. Big Bang Longer Arm Glasses
These glasses definitely are a bang with the square looking frame! I like the frame its very unique but I don't think these shaped frames suit my frame of face well. They are a little too big for my face and because I have a sort of oval looking shape these are more suitable for people with bigger shaped faces. The design itself is lovely and can give you a very sophisticated feel too.

Overall thoughts..
I was quite happy with reviewing these glasses and I'd be happy to do it again. I hope this has helped anyone who is looking for a new pair I'd recommend Specspost if you are wanting a variety of designs to try. They have really quirky names for each of there frames which makes the deciding feel more appealing!

Boots Haul

Boots haul
So this is what happens when I go to Boots to pick up some more hairspray...typical me leads into other isles! I decided to do a haul of what I have purchased lately. Surprisingly not as much as I could have bought that is for sure so I deserve to give myself a pat on the back!

This Aussie anti frizz milk I cannot fault one little bit! this is finally my second bottle of this stuff. It is great for locking away those split ends and given your hair that extra moisture it needs highly highly recommend! This Tresemme hairspray was what I originally went in Boots to buy I always purchase this hairspray it just locks in curls, waves etc for extra long time. After bad reviewing the

I Always pass by The Vintage Cosmetic Company isle in Boots and the patterns always draw me in so I finally purchased one of their eyelash sets and their eyelash curlers as I was in need of a new one! cannot wait to give these a go especially the eyelashes I hear so many good things about them. Rimmel Scandaleyes kohl liners are amazing I already own the black one and by far the best eyeliner I have used for lasting long and not smudging. So I decided to try the nude eyeliner just to brighten up my water line. It is brilliant so far!
A little bit of an impulse buy I must say..I got this on another trip into Boots and splurged out on this £48 face lotion.

I have always wanted to try Dr Weli by Origins but put off by the price. But since it was an impulse purchase can't complain so far..as I have loved using this product! a review will be up once I have had more time using this. I love the brand Origins so much and having already tried 2 other masks and loved them both I thought to try another one. The Drink up intensive over night mask definitely adds moisture to your face and has a lovely scent I never thought I would like an over night mask but I really did like this!

January Birchbox

My January Birchbox
January Birchbox unboxing
January 2014 Birchbox products
It seems like ages since I have received my last Birchbox but I was happy to come home from uni to see this little beauty waiting for me!

This months box is all to do with tiny tweaks meaning products to use in a beauty routine etc etc. The months box doesn't actually make sense but I am just going off what I think it means..

Phillip Kingsley Elasticizer | £27.50
WHAT: A hair savoir. That mask strengthens, nourishes and prevents breakage.
MY THOUGHTS: I am quite excited to give this a go as I love receiving treatments for my hair especially ones that are on the more expensive side it makes it more exciting to see what it does!

Lavera sensitive hand cream | £4.45
WHAT: Organic shea butter and almond oil protects and moisture's parched winter hands.
MY THOUGHTS: As much as I love hand creams I have like so many to use up as it is so receiving another one was kind of like..ugh. However I have tried this already and it smells amazing and it seems very moisturizing!

Benefit The POREfessional | £24.50
WHAT: An award winning primer that magically erases pores and leaves skin velvety.
MY THOUGHTS: I read somewhere Birchbox were given everyone a Benefit sample so I was anxious to know what is was. I was skeptical on receiving a primer because I have already tried a Benefit primer before and that broke me out insanely! but this is an award winner so I am hoping this doesn't give me the same effects..

Vasanti Detox purifying facial cleanser | £18.00
WHAT: Was away toxins (not to mention every last trace of foundation) with this fresh cleanser.
MY THOUGHTS: I don't really have an opinion on this..I mean I love cleansing my face but I like products that are specifically for my skin type (oily/combination) I will use this of course just prefer if it was for specific types.

Rodial stem cell super food day cream SPF 15 | £42.00
WHAT: Advanced stem cell technology gives skin a boost of hydration for a health radiant, youthful complexion.
MY THOUGHTS: The price blew me away I am quite excited to try a product that is worth that much! I have heard a few things about this brand so I will be given this a try!

Birchbox Eye mask | £10.00
WHAT: This gel filled mask cools the eye area and decreases puffiness.
MY THOUGHTS: Love eye masks especially when I have horrible tired eyes so hopefully this helps get rid of those!

I thought this box was really good definitely up in my top boxes so far, they have filled the box with expensive samples which is great as I love trying expensive brands out. This is exactly why I didn't cancel my subscription for this box because they always impress me.

Soap & Glory Loved & Glossed

Soap & Glory Loved & Glossed
Soap & Glory Loved & Glossed
I am a big sucker for when Boots bring their Christmas S&G beauty sets out and this is a one that had caught my eye. I was super excited to receive this on Christmas day off my Mam I was just eager to give them a try. It is only until now I have had the chance to wear them all and give you my reviews on them!

First of all, the packaging. I was drawn in by the packaging before I even asked for this set! the tin would come in handy for earrings or something so that is useful! I like the black and white chess kind of print makes it look classy and appealing. So I definitely give the packaging a 10 out of 10.

I was a little edgy to try these lip gloss sticks because I am not a huge fan of S&G lip products they are always too sticky for my liking unfortunately and I am not a huge fan of glosses either. But nonetheless I was willing to give them a go and I am glad I did!

They smell amazing! all three of them: Nudist, Fuschia Ristic and Plum Jam smell of sweet, sugar almonds..well that is the scent I get from them anyways. So far Nudist is my favourite colour it just suits my skintone really well and that is a shock considering nudes don't always suit me!

They all go on really well, I do find you need to spend a little more time rubbing the product on your lips than you would with any other stick products as they are a little sheer for my skin to see.

They seem to go on really creamy and moisturizing which is great as nobody likes lip products that dry your lips out, so they are very much like a lip balm. They are a gorgeous set of sheer, glossy sticks that are perfect for everyday! I notice my lips look a lot more brighter and healthy wearing these!

Definitely worth getting your hands on if they are still in stock!

La Roche-Posay Collection Reviews

La Roche-Posay Collection Reviews
Since last Christmas I have been meaning to do this post for a while now but, December is such a busy month and the lighting is terrible to take photos so I have had no time to get this post created until now!

I have been a a huge fan of the La Roche-Posay Effaclar Duo for over half a year now and decided to venture out and try more of their skincare range for oily to combination skin because the duo did such great things to my skin!

La Roche-Posay Effaclar Duo
This has been in constant favourite posts and repetitively purchased over again. It is definitely a miracle worker for fixing those problematic skin types, whether that is redness, blemishes or just looking dull and having no radiance. I find applying this on redness and blemishes reduces the colour and size dramatically. On those 'no-makeup lazy days' at home I tend to apply this in the morning and by the evening my face looks a lot more healthier. It does definitely help clear up your problems on your skin! I would highly recommend this to anyone - also being a oily prone skin type I find using this before applying moisturizer and make-up keeps my oil at bay for a little while longer.

La Roche-Posay Effaclar Purifying Foaming Gel Cleanser
What a mouthful to type out! I had my eye on this cleanser for quite awhile - having not saw many reviews on this product at all I thought to take a risk and just try it as the duo did wonders for my skin. I was a bit skeptical about it being a foam gel cleanser as I much prefer the cream consistency's but, nonetheless I went for it. What I like about this gel is it smells refreshing I love refreshing, organic scents to cleansers it makes it feel more natural on my skin. After rubbing this onto my face for a minute or so when I patted my face dry I noticed after the first time using it not much difference. But after a couple more times I had noticed this product reduced redness a lot! and you know when your face feels and looks dirty but it isn't? well this product fixed me feeling dull. Definitely give this a go if you have oily prone skin, I have noticed my skin is a lot more tighter and even sometimes dry! my make-up seems to look a lot more less oily too! so this definitely has helped at keeping oil at bay.

La Roche-Posay Effaclar Mat Moisturizer
I have been on the look out for a new moisturizer for oily skin types as my skin has become increasingly oily lately. So I asked for this for Christmas and since then have been using this since. Let me first say since Christmas my skin has been very much combination - a bit more on the dry side so this moisturizer I would NOT recommend to people with dry skin types because this won't do anything. But, on those days my face was a little oily or before applying make-up I gave this a go. Now I don't know if any other bloggers agree with me on this but having oily skin and trying to notice a difference with using a moisturizer takes a lot of time. So my review on this is still a little dull until I use it more, but so far I have found my skin is a lot less oily for starters. And my face hasn't been as shiny as it normally is when wearing make-up which is exactly what I want out of a moisturizer. I have also noticed my skin is not as red which could be a mixture of using all 3 of these products!

That is all my La Roche-Posay collection products reviewed! I definitely want to try more from their range as their oily/combination range is amazing for my skin and affordable!

Products That Need More Hype

Products That Need More Hype
December was a busy month for me with it being my birthday, anniversary, Christmas, New Year and bits in between etc so fancy, formal make-up was used a lot throughout this month. Which gave me the idea to create a post all about make-up products that need more hype.

Witch Hazel Anti-Blemish Skin Clearing Primer
I have had this product for a good year maybe longer now and have not changed my primer since. I have used different ones in-between or when I have ran out of this but, I always come back to Witch Hazel. This primer definitely needs more hype or a lot more people to try it! I have oily/combination skin for those who don't already know so this product is great for me. This primer promises to help stop those blemishes from appearing after wearing make-up all day. I do definitely 100% think this product has helped stop this happening! everytime I wear make-up I have no problems of receiving those breakouts throughout the day. Definitely think this primer does what it says, plus it is very moisturizing too.

Real Techniques Complexion Sponge
Don't get me wrong I love using RT make-up brushes to blend in my foundations and concealers but since September/October time I found myself using this little beauty. Now I would never imagine I would love a make-up sponge more than brushes but I do. When this first came out I saw loads of people review this so highly, but lately I have noticed not many reviews or people speaking of this. I find this product amazing for blending in makeup, it especially gives your that higher end, juicy look. I also noticed my foundation looks a lot more healthier when blending in with this. I love how flexible this product is and how the pointed corner can be used to dab in concealer. Which again I use for, concealer looks great blended in using this. Also I find if you get dry skin in some areas on your face this sponge helps to avoid noticing the dry patches.

Too Faced Shadow Insurance Eyeshadow Primer
An eyeshadow primer isn't necessarily an essential product to have but it is definitely worth given a go. Throughout December I was using various eyeshadows and applied this primer on my lids before hand. What I like about this primer is how great it is straight away, what I mean is I made a mistake on my eyelid so I decided to wipe it all off and start again and it was hard to budge off because the primer sunk in instantly. I noticed when using this my eyeshadow didn't go into the crease area after hours of wearing it and everything stayed in place.

HD Brows Bronzer
I was extremely happy when I received this in my September Glossybox last year! I have never/but always wanted to try HD Brows products. This product is great for a bronzer or for contouring your cheekbones. I preferably use this for my cheekbones more to add definition. I definitely think this product is worth the money, it just adds a lovely colour to your face (and I am fair!). It has the tiniest and I mean the tiniest amount of sparkle inside of it. Nothing noticeable but something that adds more to your face. It is very easy to apply and you only need a tiny amount on your brush.

MUA Mosaic Blush
This product is so pretty! I just love all the colours in this mosaic. It is a beautiful blush on your face especially if you are wanting multiple colours that isn't noticeable. It leaves a lovely glittery shine to your face as well nothing too dramatic but enough to give you a highlight. I notice when I wear this and get photos taken my cheeks just look healthy and glowy. Definitely give this a try!

BalmI lip Balm - here
For those who haven't heard or saw Balmi before, basically these are Boots/UK version of the EOS balms that America sell. I have both but always prefer the UK Balmi because of how moisturizing they are. I never see any reviews or people favoring these which is a shame because they are really good! very long lasting on the lips and have great moisture built in them. Definitely give them a go!

Rimmel Scandeleyes kohl liner - Nude
I got this just before Christmas and already I am loving it! I have saw a few reviews of the black version of this eyeliner but none on the nude. Now, I don't often wear black eyeliner on a daily basis so I decided to venture for a nude eyeliner that way the is something on my water line that just brightens up my eyes a little better on a daily basis. I didn't think i'd be as impressed as I was. People need to give this a try! it lasted all day and was a struggle to remove which just amazes me. And my eyes looked a lot more brighter and noticeable.

Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Lip Stains
Got a few of these lip stains and can honestly say I much prefer them to lipsticks in winter. Don't get me wrong I do love lipsticks but if you are wanting something long lasting and maybe a little more moisturizing I thought these did the trick. These were very popular last Summer I believe, but I still think they are amazing in winter. They are long lasting, moisturizing and have amazing colours. Definitely hunt one down and give them a go!

What make-up products do you think need more hype?
